Dr. Kristy E. Ambrose received her Bachelor of Science degree from Gannon University in Erie, Pennsylvania. She earned her Doctor of Optometry from the Pennsylvania College of Optometry in Philadelphia, where she graduated with high honors and was admitted into the Beta Sigma Kappa Honor Society. Following graduation, Dr. Ambrose completed her residency in ocular disease through The Ohio State University College of Optometry's affiliated programs at the Chillicothe Veterans Affairs Medical Center and Veterans Affairs Central Ohio Healthcare System in Columbus, Ohio. While there, she also served as adjunct faculty at The Ohio State University College of Optometry.

Dr. Ambrose has been practicing in the area since 2010 and is a member of the American Optometric Association, the Virginia Optometric Association, the Tidewater Optometric Society, and a past clinical examiner for the National Board of Examiners in Optometry. Originally from Erie, PA, she has made Williamsburg her home with her husband and children.
